Landhaus Vesper

A warm welcome to our family hotel in Lichtenfels-Münden, a small peaceful holiday resort between Winterberg and Edersee in the Federal Republic of Germany. When you would like to spend relaxing holidays, far away from trouble and stress, we are just the place you are looking for.

We offer a wide choice of ways to spend your leisure hours. Cosy barbecue-evenings on our terrace, rides with the tractor through fields and woods as well as a weekly skittle evening are part of what we offer.

In our comfortable dining room with open fireplace and bar we coddle you with tasty meals. Because of the fact that our guests travel a lot during the day we offer an extensive breakfast and for the evening we serve an excuisite warm dinner at 1800 hours. You sleep in modern and comfortable rooms, all with shower and toilet. A spacious balcony or terrace with view to the south on fields and forrest is possible.

For spending your time at Landhaus Vesper we have a relaxation room and a billiardsroom with TV set availiable. In the rear of the house we have a large garden with meadow, playground and tenniscourt. If you wish we can arrange for a tennis instructor.

The indoor swimming pool has season from the end of April until the beginning of October.

Only 50 meters away from our Family Hotel there is a childrens playground as well as a midget golf court. The local tourist board holds barbecue evenings here every week.

Our family hotel is recommended by the "Automobilclub von Deutschland". When you would prefer to come by train the railway stations in the vicinty are: Frankenberg/ Eder, Korbach and Winterberg. If you wish we can pick you up at the railway station.

When you like to angle you can visit the trout hatchery which is only 5 kilometers away (for this hatchery you do not need an angling permit). A lot of the tourist attractions are nearby: Winterberg (15 km), Frankenberg with her famous ten tower half-timbered townhall (16 km),  Kreisstadt Korbach with her historical centre (21 km), watersportsparadise Edersee with Schloß Waldeck (25 km), "Heilbad Arolsen" with baroque castle (34 km). During the winter season you can visit one of many "Rodelbahnen" (toboggan-slides), "Langlauf" laps and ski-runs.

Münden is situated at altitudes between 400 and  500 meters and has a mild climat with lots of clean healthy air. There is a big number of walking routes (with many rest benches) and clear direction indicators. They lead you through fields and forrests.

Münden is a rural and quiet holiday resort and one of the eight communities which are part of the village of Lichtenfels. You can find Münden in the off-shoots of the "Rothaar Gebirge" east of the Sauerland between Edersee and the famous Wintersport metropolis  Winterberg. This oasis of peace has over 100 kilometers of well indicated walking routes in different levels of difficulty. You can go for a short stroll in the direct vicinity or make a complete days trip in the hills, vallies and vast forrests surrounding Münden. The Aar and Orke, two crisp, crystal clear murmuring rivers offer oppertunities for a refreshing bath during the summer. If you prefer otherwise there are several indoor and outdoor swimming facilities in the area. Children and grown-ups can use our idyllic recreation ground for several ways of recreation. Midgetgolf, table tennis, tennis and Boccia. During the summer you can barbecue here with camp fire and music. We cordially invite you to attend to our walking-tours and entertainment evenings. Only three kilometers away is Burg Lichtenfels, a historical castle. From the hills surrounding it you have magnificent views into the "Orketal" and the mountains of the "Hochsauerland". You can angle nearby in the Aar vally or at the Edersee, Diemelsee or Twistesee.

They are not so difficult to find: the romantic places, the fairy-like holiday resorts where you feel well and can find your time for true relaxation. It's not even far away from the 'Autobahn': Stadt Lichtenfels with it's eight totally different communities, grouped around the castle which gave Lichtenfels it's name.

Here the Hochsauerland and the Hessisches Bergland meet. From the heights of Lichtenfels you can see the Kahlen Asten in the Hochsauerland as well as Schloß Waldeck in the Ederbergland.
