Route 4: from the South-East of Germany.

Nota bene: the indication A at for example A44 stands for "Autobahn", which is a motorway with four or more lanes. The indication B at for example B251 stands for "Bundesstrasse", which is a main road with mostly two lanes; sometimes these roads have also four lanes.

Coming from the south-east of Germany you drive via München (A9 to Nürnberg) or Nürnberg. From here you take the A3 to Würzburg. Near Würzburg you take the A7 to Kassel. At the intersection "Kreuz Kassel" you take the A44 in the direction of Dortmund. On the A44 you then take the exit "Zierenberg". From here you take the B251 to Korbach. Before you reach Korbach the B251 ends into the B252; here you take the B252 to Frankenberg. After a few kilometers you leave the B252 at Herzhausen by turning right and then you take the road via Sachsenberg and Dalwigksthal to Lichtenfels-Münden.
